ruh-roh

A club official said Monday that nothing is "imminent" with the 40-year-old Seattle icon, who is among the plethora of hitters struggling at the plate this season, but the production of several players has been "disappointing."

The official would not comment on a Tacoma News Tribune story published Monday that said, "He could lose his job as the left-handed designated hitter within the week. He might lose his position on the 25-man roster nearly as soon."

Dumb

Three articles ran today (4/29) on why the ASG should be moved out of AZ in '11, all citing our immigration bill as the reason. One even mentioned Pujols getting arrested while walking down the street.

This Day In Baseball History!

St. Olaf is in my hometown Northfield, MN.

2002 Brian Sprout, a Division III All-American, becomes the first and only player in the recorded history of the national pastime to hit for the home run cycle in order. The St. Olaf College Ole hits a solo shot, a two-run and a three-run homer, and a grand slam in four consecutive at bats during a 39-4 rout of Augsburg.

Season final in full swing!

The glamor and novel feel of opening day and home openers has now worn out. The teams are now in the full swing of things and trying to make up or create ground for themselves in the division standings. How you like your teams? Obviously, I like my Twins as I did throughout most of the off-season stating that they would be back in playoffs. I had picked them to lose in the ALCS prior to the season and still believe that to be true. They are playing well and aren't even close to their potential. I would say a ALCS run is not out of the question at all.

I like Charlies' Phillies, they look great with "Roy Boy" pitching and Chase is on a tare at the plate. I look to them to make the NLCS or possibly World Series for the NL.

Paco must be levied that the A's are leading in the West (We all know that won't last through next week even...maybe)! Paco your team seems to be missing a lot of key components to make a outright run in the West like previous years. I look for the M's to take the West as they have awesome 1-2 and solid batting lineup. But won't count out the Angels as they are a favorite of mine.

Jack's Dbacks look alright. Need Web to get back in there, because past Haren and Jackson the staff doesn't look to strong. Ian still young and has time, but I do really like Jackson in Arizona and think he will pitch well there. Should be, as always, fun to watch what unfolds in the NL West (Baseball's Craziest Division).

Here is a brief read on Bret for you guys link.

Just was watching Twins post-game show and wanted to drop a line for you all.

O yea, VOTE FOR JUNIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Kinsler!

My team is in some serious trouble if Kinsler is out until mid-summer. Doesn't matter though cause I definitely didn't draft properly for this league, Paco and couple others did (SP that log innings, K's/BB/9/OBPA will come along).

Lastly, someone please tell Kris Kline, director of amateur scouting for the Washington Nationals, to stop hating and lying. In a press conference yesterday he was asked if the Nationals would take Catcher Bryce Harper with their number one pick in the draft he said "I don't think that's etched in stone." But then surprisingly said that Harper, a.k.a The Natural, is a little overrated!

Come on man it's BRYCE HARPER! LOL

Just look at him!

Finals suck

This is an awesome idea, Brando. By the way, a random thought: I've still not had a sandwich from Subway since last summer. I'm not sure if I can ever have one again. Both for sentimental reasons, and because I think I had maybe fifty snubs in New York.

Anyway, I have the finals week from hell coming up: three take-home finals and one fifteen-page paper.

Jack, are you sure you want to go to law school? Heh.

Inaugural Post on "Pod 30" blog

Hey guys I figured since we tend to send emails or stuff to each other quite often that we should just have a blog. We are the only four allowed to see the blog (that can change due if you guys want). I allowed if of you to publish to the blog though I don't know what your capabilities are for customizing the blog. Feel free to share with me any ideas or changes you think I should make about the blog. I just think this could be a neat way for us to keep in touch and share everything between all of us (and not clog up each others email inbox lol).
